We monitoring for 'Voice Calls' and 'Emergency Calls' through our remote base network. Operators can use UHF transceivers through our repeater on Harleys Hill, also our Internet Radio Stations from any location in the world.
Our field sets with the calling technology can make emergency calls and telephone calls through our base network 24/7 to the public telephone system. We also conduct our voice calls at 8.30am 12noon 7.30pm.
This is some of the equipment our base operators use to control and monitor, and take calls from our Field Sets.
Our base operators cover all of the South Island and Stewart Island back country giving the best possible 24/7 communications through our ‘Northern’ and ‘Southern’ remotely controlled ‘HF Base Network’.
We also monitor voice calls through the ‘Northern’ and ‘Southern’ transmitters during daylight and evening hours.
The operators also give the latest weather in the morning and evening, and also take voice calls from our field sets daily at… 8.30am, 12noon, & 7.30pm
